Rathmullan is a beautiful seaside village on the west bank of Lough Swilly Co Donegal Ireland. It is a  busy wee tourist town in the summer months.  Many families go walking on the beach from the pier right up to Kinnigar beach. It is a lovely walk and you have beautiful trees on the left while walking along. Rathmullam beach looks right across to Buncrana with the Swilly in between.

In 1607 this is the port from which the Flight of the Earls sailed for mainland Europe. Rathmullan is one of the deepest safe anchorages in Europe and was used by the British Fleet during world wars.

During the summer the Ferry goes from Rathmullan to Buncrana and for landing fish during the Autumn.
