Oil painting of Currach on the Foyle

I painted this painting of my husband and his friend.  I just loved the water on the Foyle against the currach.  I found it interesting painting of the currach. The currach is unique to Ireland. It is made from branch frames and skinned with cloth and tarred. This was the local fishing vessel of its time, on the Fanad peninsula.

As part of the city of culture, Derry showcased all types of seacraft and the currach's took part in this event.
